does america have illegal immigrants?

does America have illegal immigrants? Does a forest have trees?

Most of the immigrants the come to the U.S. are from Mexico, or at least all the ones i hear about. Mexico's economy is rather bad, and America's (in my opinion) is only slightly better, but none the less, its good enough to act like a magnet for those looking for a new life, new opportunities, and new freedoms. The United States doesn't exactly handle the immigrants as well as they could. The U.S. is aware that immigrants often perform jobs that citizens wouldn't, and thus, they don't often actually enforce immigration laws. Mostly, the government talks about how to deal with it and how to prevent it. Sometimes people get deported, but mainly its all just talk. The immigration bureaucracy is overwhelmed, causing legal immigrants to wait years for applications. From my understanding, a lot if illegal immigrants find the process of getting a green card much too complicated and hardly worth the struggle, so they simply ignore it and remain illegal.

“The time to fix our broken immigration system is now… We need stronger enforcement on the border and at the workplace… But for reform to work, we also must respond to what pulls people to America… Where we can reunite families, we should. Where we can bring in more foreign-born workers with the skills our economy needs, we should”

summer? not fun.

My summers tend to be rather horrible. No guys (no new guys), no cheer, my best friends go to Israel, and my dad works so i have to spend most of the time with my mom. Besides shopping, i can't think of the last fun thing i did over a summer.

My summers started going downhill at the end of sixth grade. I had come down with a bad case of terrible knees and was being rushed from doctor to doctor until we found someone who could and would operate; this fabulous old man to the left. I had two knees surgeries within a week, one on each knee. I spent the rest of that summer in physical therapy.

The next summer pretty much the same stuff happened except I already had a surgeon and only needed one surgery. By this time, Dr Brotzman and I are practically family. I call him "Brent" and his office is on both my and my parents speed dial. His assistant Tom and i have also become quite close. Tom takes out my stitches and he's quite good at it, too. I have some gnarly pictures from the surgeries. I can see the little machines and the bones and stuff. most people find it grotesque, but I don't. I'm kinda jealous of my dad though. He had knee surgery a few months after my first two, and his doctor gave him a video.

So this most recent summer, i had no surgeries, even though i needed one. I wasn't in a place medically where my body could handle any more stress. i was in a hospital for the entire summer and the last six weeks of eight grade. i was really really sick. but so now im on round the clock Advil and the occasional pair of crutches when the pain gets too bad.

i like the school year more than the summer. I've never had a knee surgery during school. We'll see if i can keep that up.

introduction??

Okay, so i have been assigned by the lovely Ms. Hollrah to tell y'all a little about myself. For starters, i go to AHS, which is boss. I'm a cheerleader and that's pretty much my life. i love cheering. i have a brother named Eric and he just got his drivers license, which is really cool. Eric is my best friend. We do just about everything together.
My other best friends are Ethan and Eliana Atia. I've known them my entire life and i love them to death.

What else can i say about me...oh, I've had three knee surgeries. i have chronic orthopedic issues, so me and my surgeon are pretty tight. If anyone ever hurts a knee, I've got the hook up. I'm pretty much your average American teenager; music is what keeps me going in the mornings, my parents and i don't get along, i have ADHD, i watch Family Guy and The Simpson. i hate really corny things like trap doors and secret tunnels and such. I'm deathly afraid of fire, and the dark, and lizards. Snakes...snakes i can handle, lizards, not so much. i play guitar, but i'm not very good.

i love to talk. i kinda get in trouble at school a lot for that. I figure that I'll never get any sort of job if i have no "people skills", so therefore talking is much more important than learning...I could pretty much make friends with a wall.
